Let’s cut the fluff. Scaling Facebook ads in 2026 isn’t about throwing money at the algorithm and hoping for miracles. It’s a systematic game built on data, creatives, audience logic, and algorithm respect. If you want real growth—not just vanity metrics—you’ve landed in the right post.

This year, strategies are evolving faster than ever thanks to AI, algorithm shifts, and Meta’s push toward automation. Scaling now means letting machine learning earn you more, not just setting budgets and praying it works.

So let’s dive in.

Why Scaling Facebook Ads in 2026 Is Different

The old playbook of doubling budgets and targeting individual interests is dead. What’s alive? A hybrid of:

smarter budget pacing

creative velocity

algorithm-friendly signals

and precision audience segmentation.

Meta’s continuous push toward AI-assisted ad delivery means our tactics have to elevate. Your creativity and logic now drive the data the algorithm craves.

Part 1: Build a Scalable Foundation

Before you scale, make sure your campaign isn’t a pretender wearing a winner’s suit. Here’s the checklist:

Stable Profitability
Your campaign consistently delivers above your target CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) and a positive ROAS.

Clean Tracking
Ensure your Meta Pixel or Conversion API is firing correctly—bad data means bad decisions.

Enough Conversion Events
Meta’s algorithm needs signal to learn. Ideally, hit ~50 optimization events in 7 days to exit the learning phase.

If your foundation is shaky, any scaling attempt will just magnify the problems.

Part 2: Smart Budget Scaling (The 20% Rule)

Here’s where novices tank their campaigns: They jump the gun with budget lifts.

Vertical Scaling (Increasing Budget on Winners)

Increase the budget slowly and methodically:

Max +20% every 24–48 hours
This keeps the algorithm calm and avoids resets

Don’t double overnight
Sudden spikes reset learning and kill performance.
Think of this as feeding a beast—go slow and consistent so it. That’s how you win.

Part 3: Horizontal Scaling (Testing New Opportunities)

Vertical scaling is about depth, horizontal is about reach.

Key Horizontal Scaling Moves

Lookalike Audiences
Start with 1%, then expand to 3%, 5%, and beyond. This systematically broadens reach.

New Interests or Behaviors
Test related interest stacks, but make sure each audience is large enough to avoid fatigue.

Advantage+ Broad Targeting
When creative is strong, sometimes the best move is to go WIDE and let Meta find pockets the system knows are profitable.

The rule? Expand one variable at a time, so you actually know what’s working.

Part 4: Creative Velocity = Scale Fuel

If budget is gasoline, creative is the engine. You can’t scale on the same three creatives forever.

The New Creative Playbook

1. Test Many Creative Variations
Videos, UGC, testimonial styles, hooks, captions—don’t rely on one.
Volume gives the algorithm more ammo to win.

2. Refresh Often
Creative fatigue kills performance before budget issues do.

3. Short-form Visuals Rule
Reels and quick cuts with strong hooks drive engagement and performance in 2026.

Turns out the algorithm treats creative signal like targeting itself. You’re not just selling; you’re teaching the system who to find.

Part 5: Audience Mastery

Targeting isn’t dead. It’s just evolved.

Strong Audience Layers

Broad Audiences for discovery

Lookalikes for lookalike market penetration

Retargeting for users who almost clicked

Exclusions to avoid wasting ad spend showing current customers old offers

Meta wants signal. Your creative + accurate audiences deliver it.

Part 6: Best Campaign Structures for Scaling

Here’s a structure that actually works:

1. Testing Campaign (ABO)

For new creatives and audiences

Ad set budgets give control

2. Scaling Campaign (CBO)

Contains validated winners

Campaign budget lets the algorithm optimize spend dynamically

3. Retargeting Campaign (CBO)

High-intent audiences

Keeps conversions rolling

Clean, organized, and purposeful.

Part 7: Performance Metrics That Matter

Forget vanity metrics like impressions. Focus on:

ROAS

CPA

CTR

Frequency

If frequency climbs and costs rise, it’s time to refresh creatives or expand audiences.

Conclusion

In 2026, scaling Facebook ads isn’t about hacks, it’s about systems. You need disciplined budgets, relentless creative testing, precise audiences, and structure that lets the algorithm earn you sales. Be patient, be data-driven, and don’t let ego override logic.

Scaling is a marathon, not a sprint. Keep pushing forward, keep iterating, and keep teaching the algorithm what success looks like.

In 2026 the social‑media landscape is noisier than ever. Fashion brands are competing for attention across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, yet most are throwing money at ads without a plan. A few months ago I met two clothing boutique owners, Michelle and Steven, who were spending $30/day on Facebook ads and barely clearing $5K per month. Within1 year they scaled to $450K per month simply by following a repeatable system. Their success isn’t magic—it’s the result of understanding their customer, creating captivating creative and leveraging Meta’s AI‑driven tools.

This playbook is based on those proven steps. If you’re ready to go from overwhelmed to in‑control, follow along.

Step 1: Nail Your Target Audience

Use the Three‑Pillar Audience Framework

Before you spend a dollar on ads, get crystal clear about who you’re serving. Fashion is more than clothing; it represents identity, confidence and self‑expression. To speak to people’s aspirations, think in these three pillars:

Identify the problem – What itch does your product scratch? Maybe your brand is unique, streetwear, leisure wear or eco‑friendly.

Offer a solution – Position your product as the bridge between the problem and the desired identity. Oversized pieces that are both stylish and comfortable do exactly that.

Highlight the future outcome – Paint the picture of life after the purchase. Increased confidence, belonging or a sense of identity transforms casual browsers into raving fans.

Draft a Struggling Avatar document that goes deep into your ideal customer’s demographics, desires and pain points. Exclude recent buyers (30–180 days) from cold campaigns to focus on acquiring new customers, and re‑engage past buyers through email or SMS. This clarity makes every ad speak directly to the right person.

Step 2: Create Irresistible Ad Creatives

If your creative doesn’t stop the scroll, nothing else matters. I use what I call The Three I’s Framework:

Imitate (≈80 %) – Save ads from competitors or outside industries that grab your attention. Reverse engineer why they work and adapt their themes.

Iterate (≈15 %) – Tweak proven concepts—swap colors, headlines or CTAs—to see what resonates. Small changes often unlock big gains.

Innovate (≈5 %) – Experiment with completely new ideas or formats. Innovation matters, but it shouldn’t dominate your testing budget.

Pro tips for great creatives:

Use high‑quality images or videos that resonate with your audience’s style and preferences.

Highlight product features and benefits clearly.

Incorporate emotional triggers like confidence, belonging or joy so viewers imagine themselves wearing your pieces.

Test multiple headlines and primary text lengths—both short and long form—and let the data decide what converts.

Step 3: Simplify Your Ad Structure

A cluttered ad account is a nightmare to optimize. Simplify by following the 1–1–3 rule:

One campaign – Stick to a single objective, such as purchases or engagement, to give Meta’s algorithm a clear goal.

One ad set – Use broad targeting based on age, gender and geography rather than stacking dozens of interests. Meta’s Advantage+ Audience and machine learning tools now drive targeting, creative and budget decisions. Instead of micromanaging tiny audiences, advertisers are encouraged to go broad and let the system optimize based on real‑time performance

Three ads – Run three creative variations (e.g., image vs. video vs. UGC) to test what hits.

Use Advantage+ Campaign Budgets to let Meta automatically distribute your budget across ad sets based on performance. This automation frees you to focus on strategy while the algorithm optimizes delivery. Going broad also helps the system analyze user behavior and find high‑converting segments

Step 4: Test, Optimize and Scale

Testing is the backbone of scaling. Here’s the sytem I recommend:

Run three concepts per week – Launch three new creatives every seven days.

Analyze performance metrics – Look at key indicators:

First Impression Ratio – Aim for at least 80 % new viewers.

Frequency – Keep it below 1.5 so your ads feel fresh.

Click‑Through Rate (CTR) – A CTR above 1.5 % is solid; above 3 % is excellent.

Cost per thousand impressions (CPM) – Benchmarks vary, but most apparel brands see good performance between $18–$25.

Kill under-performers – Shut off ads that don’t meet your benchmarks. Don’t let nostalgia drain your budget.

Scale winners – Increase the budget on top‑performing ads by 5–20 % per day. Gradual scaling maintains stability without shocking the algorithm.

Step 5: Optimize Your Ads Manager Setup

Even a perfect creative can flop without the right technical setup. Dial in these settings:

Campaign and budget settings

Choose Sales as your campaign objective so Meta optimizes for conversions.

Turn on Advantage+ Campaign Budgets to let the algorithm allocate spend across your ad sets in real time

Targeting options

Use broad targeting based on gender, age and location. Manual micro‑targeting is becoming obsolete; Meta’s algorithms now analyze behavioral signals to find the most likely buyers

Real‑World Wins

These strategies aren’t theory—I’ve seen them work. A streetwear brand we coached doubled its revenue in a single quarter by simplifying its ad account and letting Advantage+ handle the heavy lifting. Another clothing brand we managed raked in $900K in sales from $61K in ad spend within 30 days after adopting this framework. When you align powerful creatives with smart automation, the results speak for themselves.

Conclusion: Build Your 2026 Playbook

The Facebook ad landscape will continue to evolve, but the fundamentals remain the same: know your audience, deliver creative that connects emotionally and leverage the platform’s AI to do the grunt work. Fashion buyers crave authenticity, so don’t just hawk products—tell stories about identity and transformation. Broad targeting and Advantage+ automation aren’t hacks; they’re how Meta’s algorithm learns quickly and scales your results.

.If you’re ready to stop burning cash and start building a real business, follow this playbook. Nail your audience, iterate on your creatives, simplify your structure, test relentlessly and fine‑tune your setup. This is how Michelle and Steven went from $5K to $450K per month—and it’s how you’ll win in 2026.

Ad blockers improve website UX for consumers, yet they reduce the impact of traditional advertising. People use ad blockers to prevent disruptions to the browsing experience, according to a survey from Visual Objects.

With ad blockers seeing increased use, businesses must find creative solutions for earning advertising revenue without disrupting users. In the age of ad blockers, quality site UX is fundamental to engaging and retaining your audience.

This article explores how to earn advertising revenue without compromising your website user experience, as well as which ad types provide the best UX.

People Want Immediate Video Ads are Most Frustrating

People want unimpeded access to online content, especially to videos.

More than half of people (51%) are most frustrated by some type of video ad, according to the Visual Objects survey. Video ads that interrupt streaming are most irksome (31%), while people are also annoyed by video ads that play before content loads (21%).

Videos that play automatically are at once disruptive, intrusive and potentially embarrassing for users. People avoid autoplay ads, and, in turn, brands that use autoplay videos.

Be sure to remove autoplay videos from your website, as well as from ads that promote your businesses elsewhere.

Video is an effective tool, so companies must allow direct access to video content as part of a rewarding browsing experience.

Avoid “Overweight” Ads That Slow Website

People click away from pages that are slow to load, yet according to AdAge,, 40% of ads are “overweight” – or use excessive animations – which slows website performance. Removing burdensome ads is key to offering a fast-loading and quality browsing experience.

It’s important to use “lighter” ads but also to limit the number of ads on your site. Too many ads can slow your site and reduce its functionality, but also distract users who want to consume content.

Prioritize a fast-loading website at the risk of losing users, especially if your website relies on ad revenue. Web design companies help small businesses evaluate and improve their page speed.

Advertising Strategies to Reach Ad Blocking Users

Ad blockers are a reality, but publishers can still benefit from ads on their site. Two strategies in particular allow publishers to maintain their appeal to ad blocking users:

Native advertising

Whitelisting

1. Native Advertising

Native ads are paid media that blend in with the advertising medium.

Perceived to be both less intrusive and more relevant than traditional advertisements, native ads are ideal for reaching ad-wary consumers. In fact, people interact with native ads 20-60% more than traditional banner ads according to a study from Facebook and IHS

In the following example, Capital One uses narrative ad copy to appeal to readers on the New York Times’ website.

Source: New York Times

Capital One succeeds by offering users valuable information in a format that matches the format of the platform. This preserves the user experience while inviting engagement from interested readers.

It’s best to align your advertisements with the channel’s content. The more your advertising blends in with the surrounding content, the more likely you are to get results. Native advertising companies can help if you’re struggling to create a strategy that meets your business’s needs.

2. Ask People to Whitelist You

People will tolerate ads on your website if your browsing experience is valuable. Politely asking people to temporarily disable their ad blockers to access your content could be an effective strategy if your content is compelling.

People whitelist the New York Times, for example, because the ads don’t disrupt their content consumption and they want to support the journalism of the Times.

71% of ad-blocker users will whitelist a site that’s optimized for performance, displays a transparent privacy policy, and only serves them ads of an “acceptable” criteria, according to research from Dean Murphy, an app developer.

“Acceptable” ads align to the site’s content, and they do not disrupt, deceive, or annoy users. People dislike ads that create visual clutter, so respect the visitor’s intent by serving only relevant ads.

Ad Blockers Improve UX and Are Here to Stay

People increasingly want to avoid ads, so companies must explore new advertising strategies that appeal to ad-fatigued consumers.

It’s best to offer a quality site experience by removing “overweight” and disruptive autoplay video advertisements. You can ask people to whitelist your site, but be sure to minimize the intensity of your ad presence.

Instead, invest in native advertising and social media advertising that customers perceive as tolerable and meaningful. These strategies will maintain a high-quality user experience on your website and create value for your customers.

Google Ads provides an excellent opportunity for owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to expand their reach online despite having a limited marketing budget. When executed correctly, Google Ads can help your brand develop and be more profitable.

Similar to all PPC (pay-per-click) platforms available today, Google Ads works by displaying relevant ads whenever a user types in certain words or phrases into Google’s search bar. These ads help convince users to click through to your website or landing page where they will be able to complete your desired action (whether this involves buying a product or signing up for a subscription).

When advertising on Google, the quality of your ad is something you should pay close attention to. Besides the bid amount, this is one of the key factors that Google uses to decide whether to display your ad in top spot of the search engine results pages (SERPs). In addition, ad quality affects how your target audience perceives your ads; if they are poorly designed, users are less likely to click on them.

Why Good Ad Copy Matters

One way to improve your ad quality is to ensure you use well-written copy. Many PPC experts agree that well-constructed copy makes the difference between a successful Google Ads campaign and failure. As your ads will be your target audience’s first introduction to your brand, it is only logical that you strive to make a positive first impression.

Good ad copy is crucial to the success of your campaign because it will help you accomplish your goal. If your ads are well crafted, you will successfully grab your audience’s attention, send out the message you want to convey and get them to click, all whilst complying with the character count and other restrictions imposed by Google.

Similar to quality web content, well-written ad copy also allows you to maximize your marketing resources. As you may know, running a PPC campaign requires time, money and effort. If you are using low-quality ads in your campaign, you won’t obtain the results that you expect, no matter how much time, money and effort you invest.

Finally, if you have high-quality ads, you can bid less to achieve the same ranking as an ad with a lower quality score. You will also see better click-through rates, resulting in more traffic to your website or landing page. There will be even more bonus points for you if your landing page is optimized as this will lead to more conversions. So, by creating well-written ads, not only will you maximise your resources, but you will also obtain a better return on investment.

10 Tips for Creating Effective Google Ads

Unfortunately, there is no single formula for crafting the best ad on Google (or other PPC ads for that matter); otherwise, every brand or digital marketer using Google Ads would be cashing in on it by now. The good news, however, is that there are several strategies that you can utilize to make your ads more effective and compelling. Here are just some.

Find out what your target audience is looking for

Remember, users may look online for information about the products or services you offer but not because they are curious about your business. That being said, if you just talk about yourself, your target audience might lose interest.

Before you start creating ads, the first thing you need to do is understand your target market. It is vital that you see things from your audience’s perspective. In this way, you can tell them that you recognize their problems and are able to resolve them.

If you’re stuck in the copyrighting process, here are some quick questions that you can ask yourself:

        What are my prospects’ problems?

        What are their pain points?

How can I resolve their problems?

What do they need to know about my products/services?

Speak directly to your audience

To pique your audience’s interest, you need your brand or business to appear friendly and approachable from the outset. Therefore, don’t forget to ensure that your ads are about your customers, not you. Use words such as “you” and “yours” rather than “us” and “ours”. This will make your audience feel important whilst creating the impression that your company is pleasant and amiable.

Take a look at these two headlines:

“ACME Limo Tours – Explore London and Beyond”

“ACME Limo Tours – We Service London and Beyond”

Whilst the difference between the two is minuscule, Example A is catchier and more effective than Example B because it makes the user the subject of the ad rather than the advertiser.

Use emotional triggers

Have you ever wondered why heartfelt or funny TV commercials are much easier to remember than run-of-the-mill ones? It is because they play with the emotions of the viewers, making them laugh, cry or feel nostalgic.

The same principle applies to PPC ads. If they are boring and generic, no one will feel compelled to click on them. To make your ads more appealing, you should use words that have an emotional impact on the audience. This should be easy enough if you have done your research and understand what your target audience requires.

For instance, since most people are naturally keen to avoid pain, you can play on negative feelings, such as anxiety, anger or fear of missing out, to create ads that will appeal to your target market. Similarly, you will leverage more positive emotions, such as relief and hopefulness, if your ads are cheerful and upbeat.

Be informative

According to David Ogilvy, the “Father of Modern Advertising”, it is easier to persuade people if your ads are more informative. Therefore, the more information your ads can provide, the better the chance that your target audience will click on them.

Since Google Ads has a limited character count, you should carefully choose the type of information you include in your copy. Conducting some preliminary research about your audience is strongly recommended. This will give you an idea of what is going through their mind, including the problems they need resolved.

Based on the information you have gathered about your target market, the first draft of your ad copy should address your potential customers’ initial concerns. It should also answer some of the questions they will undoubtedly ask.

Use scarcity

Studies have shown that the scarcer a particular item is, the more likely it is that people will want to buy it. This is because scarcity creates a sense of urgency, which motivates us to act. As such, it is a good idea to create scarcity when advertising your products or services online.

There are two ways to make this work: you can either offer products/services in a limited quantity or for a limited amount of time. However, be careful when using scarcity to promote your brand on Google. According to advertising experts, scarcity works only when something is truly in limited supply. It would be wise to use this strategy only when you need to, such as when you’re having an annual sale, a grand opening or a special event with a limited run.

There is a script that you can use if you want to include a sales countdown calendar in your Google Ads. If you are a PPC beginner and you don’t yet know how to use scripts or extensions with your ads, you could always ask Google Ads specialists for help.

Add geotags to your ads

Studies have shown that people find local businesses more approachable and trustworthy than large corporations. Therefore, consider going local by adding geotags to your ads.

Take note that you don’t have to operate in just one location to use this strategy. If you’re serving multiple locations, you should create separate campaigns for each area. Then, use specific location-based keywords or phrases for every campaign in order to target local customers.

Know your competitors

When creating ad copy, it pays to know as much information as possible about your competitors. As the renowned Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu used to say: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.”

Knowing how your ads compare with those of your competitors can help you identify which product features and benefits you should highlight. Moreover, implementing this approach will allow you to craft your ads in such a way that they will set your brand apart from the competition.

Here are a few questions to ask when creating ads based on your competitors’ data:

What do you do or offer that is different to your competitors?

        Have you won any awards?

        Do you offer free shipping?

        Do you make special offers?

Address objections preemptively

Always address possible objections to your service or selling points beforehand so your target audience won’t have a reason not to click on your ads. In doing so, you will remove any excuse that your audience might have for not checking out your ad even before they can think of one.

With any potential objections out of the way, your target audience will feel more at ease with your brand and will therefore be more receptive to your offers.

Show empathy

In his 1936 self-help book “How to Win Friends and Influence People”, Dan Carnegie underscored the importance of empathy in sales and marketing. Whilst “empathy” has become an overused term in marketing, not many marketers and business owners put it into practice.

Most people tend to buy from someone they trust. As such, to make your ads more compelling, you should write from a buyer’s perspective. Empathize with your target market. Use kind words and tell them that you understand their pain. The more you put yourself in your audience’s shoes, the easier it will be for you to resolve their problems.

Maximize your space

As discussed earlier, you have a limited number of characters to work with when advertising on Google. Therefore, you need to maximize all the space given to you by packing all the information you can into your ad copy. Include an extra detail or two if you have any free characters left, and never forget your display URL.

Take note that your display URL does not have to be the same as the URL of your landing page. Its only purpose is to show people what sort of web page they will be redirected to once they have clicked on your ad. If possible, create a short custom URL to go with your Google ads to make them more relevant and trustworthy. As a consequence, you will achieve better results.

Conclusion

As Google is now the most popular search engine, using Google Ads as one of your online advertising platforms is an excellent way of creating brand awareness and reaching your target audience. To make your campaign more compelling and effective, you should always pay attention to the way in which you write your ads. Whilst there is no magic formula for creating good ad copy, there are best practices and strategies that you can utilize to enhance your ads on Google.

When it comes to your brand and business, having an effective digital marketing strategy can make or break your success. There are lots of suggestions and advice available on the internet. However, it is a bit hard to know which are the most essential.

With thousands of websites today, you have to really stand out. To do so, you have to focus on these particular areas in your digital marketing strategy.

You probably already know some of these but how much should you know to make them useful? Take a look at these effective digital marketing tactics.

Shall we get started?

SEO

First of all, the most crucial part of digital marketing is search engine optimization (SEO). It’s a bit complicated, but with time, you can easily understand it. Google’s algorithm can leave you a bit confused, but when you know how it works, you can learn more and easier about its concept.

If you want to be truly successful, it’s best to have a professional with years of experience manage it for you. You can start today and learn a bit of the basic; however, it will take you a lot of time to be an expert in this field. As such, you’ll want to have someone who knows SEO and can help you realize the best strategy for your brand.

A single tweak in your SEO can boost your conversions and traffic by hundreds to thousands. If not, you might have a hard time beating your competitors and securing a top spot in Google’s first page.

Search Engine Marketing

Search engine marketing (SEM) is different from SEO. It is a type of internet marketing where paid advertising methods are used to increase a site’s SERPs.

In this field, having an expert to help and handle it for you is the best way to go. Look for someone who has experience in Google AdWords, as well as search or display ads. When it comes to Google AdWords, you first have to educate yourself with the basics, and how it works so, you can easily communicate with your hired expert.

When it comes to customization, Google AdWords is pretty easy. You can choose from YouTube video ads, and graphics display ads, in-app mobile ads or text-based search ads. These will depend all on your target customers and business style.

Local Search Marketing

Recently, local search marketing is getting more attention. In the coming years, it will continue to be essential for local business especially in getting found by their local customers.

Utilize Google My Business to have your site turn up on the search results when one of your target customers use the keyword. It also includes having your business appear on Google Maps. Plus, updating your listing is pretty easy, so you don’t have to worry about getting out of date.

Aside from social reputation, it is essential to have online reviews. Inspire your customers to post positive reviews of your brand on Yelp.

Content Marketing

Time and again, it is told that content marketing is king. It is a huge part of attracting an audience, but in order to be successful, you have to make your content relevant, consistent and valuable. Focus on creating interesting and helpful content. You also have to take native advertising, mobile content, influencer marketing, and marketing automation in consideration.

Remarketing

When users don’t respond to your ads for the first time, you can go after them again with remarketing. Track your visitors using cookies and create some ads on related sites.

Aside from that, you can also create new ads for your site. Remarketing will help you to be more engaged with your prospects, increase conversion and aid in brand awareness.

Responsive Web Design

There’s nothing better at increasing your site’s conversions than responsive web design. Nowadays, with the boom in mobile phones, a lot of Internet traffic comes from mobiles. As such, it is essential that your website conforms to mobile screens through responsive web design.

Aside from mobile phones, having a responsive design could also mean having a format that will quickly be accessed from smart watches and tables.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is one of the cheapest digital marketing strategies. People today, check their emails daily. Target customers who have shown interest in your product or services with emails.

You can generate sales, increase your sales and conversion rates with email marketing. Not only that but it is free and one of the most integrated marketing methods. You can include a few social share icons, as well as a referral reward system.

Social Media Marketing

Everybody is on social media nowadays. Capture your audience’s attention with an engaging social media post. You can use tools such as Tailwind, and Hootsuite to schedule a post.

Marketing Automation

Did you know that as much as 92 % of all small businesses are losing money every month because they are ignoring marketing automation?

Marketing automation is an integral part of digital marketing. You can start with the CRM platform. This has marketing automation built in and works well together especially since the CRM already has contact information.

Influencer Marketing

Avoid spending a lot of money and save some with hiring influencers. These can help promote your brand to their audience. As such, it is essential that you choose an influencer who has your target audience.

Do your research and find out who are your top influencers before doing anything else. Try hashtag searches on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

Video

Videos are one of the best ways to increase your conversions. A lot of consumers prefer using videos than other mediums. Statistics have shown that as much as 87% of online marketers are utilizing the power of video content.

You can try YouTube or Facebook. Pay attention to telling your audience a story. Show them why they should get your product and how they can benefit from it. Lastly, keep your videos short. Nobody wants an hour long video of you talking about your product.

With all the modifications that Facebook has been making in its policies and in its algorithms, the organic visibility to everyone’s blogs has gotten less and less.

Although there are still many who do not want to recognize it, without a good economic investment on Facebook there is almost no visibility … It is a trend that has been growing for several years now and will continue to do so.

The change in the Facebook algorithm is not all negative. These same strategies that Facebook uses to monetize their platform by pushing companies to use Facebook Ads campaigns, have made their advertising tools the best online, better than even Google Adwords.

The purchase of Instagram has also brought many opportunities for companies and bloggers to advertise to a wider audience through the Facebook ads manager. The integration of Instagram with Ads, allows us to obtain greater options to reach more target audience and to increase the profitability of any ad campaign.

Many businesses still do not understand or know how to use Facebook ads to grow their business. Below I will show you how to setup and get results for your Facebook Ads.

Facebook Ads Guide What you need to know and how to advertise on Facebook!

This post will help you to better understand Facebook Ads and help you plan and develop your own advertising campaigns.

What is Facebook Ads and what are its main features?

Facebook Ads is a platform which you can create all types of advertising campaigns and target your ideal customer within the largest social network in the world and Instagram.

Running ads on these two social platforms can be beneficial for any brand, company, business, coach, etc. that wants to become much more visible. These platforms can put your ads in front of millions of users.

This “social media advertising tool” allows us to create different types of ads and segment them according to the particularities of the target to which they will be directed Here are a few of the different options you can target

Country or city of residence

Language

Sex

Civil status

Customs, interests or tastes of the user

Two tools to advertise on Facebook:

► Power Editor: is a tool that helps businesses manage multiple campaigns, ad sets and ads. It’s easy to create, edit, manage and optimize campaigns, ad sets, ads and Page posts in bulk, across a large number of different ad accounts and Pages.
► Ad Manager : Your ad campaign command center. When you’re ready to run ads on Facebook, Instagram or Audience Network, Facebook Ads Manager is the place to start. Ads Manager is an all-in-one tool for creating your ads, managing when and where they’ll run and tracking how well your campaigns are performing

Throughout this post I will focus on showing you how to use and optimize your ads through Ads Manager, Although some of the advice I give you can also be used in Power Editor

Thanks to the Ad Manager you can manage, evaluate and control your campaigns.

So knowing that Facebook is the social network with the highest number of users, and it is also one of the less expensive platforms to advertise on, creating Facebook Ads campaign would be a very smart investment in creating profits for your blog. (especially if we design and segment it correctly).

Facebook Ads Campaign Structure

In the infographic above provided by the team at Facebook Business we see the structure of a advertising campaign

Detail about the structure of your Facebook ad campaign

:
► Campaign

Each campaign must have a single advertising goal from the 10 available (shown below) for all of your ad sets.

► Ad set

A campaign can have multiple groups or ad sets. But each ad set must define a budget, timeline, bid, location, and audience targeting for all your ads.

► Ads

Within each ad set, we can have multiple ads. And each of them have different combinations of images, text, links, videos or call-to-action buttons (but they share the segmentation and budget of the whole set).

Advertising goals and Marketing Objectives

Facebook has changed some features and now there are 10 different marketing objectives (goals) for our campaigns.

Among the new features is the grouping of objectives based on three categories of objectives:
Recognition: Increase the visibility of your brand within Facebook

Awareness: Increase the visibility of your brand within Facebook

Consideration: leads other people to perform a certain action

Conversion: get more conversions from your customer

Here I will go into a bit of info on the options so you can decide which one you should use according to the objective of your campaign.

Awareness

Brand awareness: Increase awareness for your brand by reaching people who are more likely to be interested in it.

Reach: Show your ad to the maximum number of people.

Consideration

Traffic: Send more people to a destination on or off Facebook such as a website, app, or Messenger conversation.

Engagement: Get more people to see and engage with your post or Page. Engagement can include comments, shares, likes, event responses and offer claims

App Install: Send people to the store where they can purchase your app.

Conversions: Get people to take valuable actions on your website or app, such as adding payment info or making a purchase. Use the Facebook pixel or app events to track and measure conversions.

Product Catalog Sale: Create ads that automatically show products from your product catalog based on your target audience

Store Visits: Promote multiple business locations to people who are nearby

How to target your audience with Facebook Ads

It is very important to carefully analyze who we are trying to reach with our campaign, because if we choose the wrong audience to target we will be losing money.

This is why Facebook Ads allows us to segment the audiences to which our ads will be shown to the parameters you choose.

Targeting your Facebook Audience

Here’s how to create and target your audience (if you have already created an audience before, you can select it instead of creating a new one)

► Custom audiences

Reach people who have a relationship with your business, whether they are existing customers or people who have interacted with your business on Facebook or other platforms.

You can set up and create a personalized audience by:

Customer Files: Use a customer file to match you customers with people on Facebook and create a audience from those matches

Website Traffic: Create a list of people who visited your website or took action using Facebook pixel

App Activity: Create a list of people who have launched your app or game, or took specific action

Engagement: Create a list of people who engaged with your audience on either Facebook or Instagram

► Places

We can define the geographical segmentation of our ads by the following criteria

Everyone in a specific place

People living in a specific place

People who have recently stayed at specific place

People traveling to a specific place

After choosing one of these criteria we continue to decide the countries, provinces, states or cities of the people you want to target in this set of ads.

In this option we will also be able to use exclusion targeting. That is, excluding places (a country, a province or a particular city).

► Age

You must choose between a minimum age (13 years) and a maximum age (+65 years).

► Gender

Here you can choose to make your ad visible to only men, women or both.

► Languages

Choose the language or languages of the people who will be able to see your ad.

► Detailed Targeting

Define your audience by including or excluding demographics, interests and behaviors:

Demographic: As an advertiser, you can refine your ad’s target audience based on content people have shared about themselves in their Facebook profiles, such as age, gender, relationship status, education and type of work they do. .

Interests: Interest targeting lets you define your ideal audience by their interests, hobbies and Pages they like on Facebook.

Behaviors: Behaviors are activities that people do on or off Facebook that inform on which device they’re using, purchase behaviors or intents, travel preferences and more.
Behaviors are constructed from both someone’s activity on Facebook and offline activity provided by data from Facebook’s trusted third-party partners.

.
► Connections

Reach people who have a specific kind of connection to your Page, app or event. This will narrow your audience to include only people with that specific connection who also meet the other targeting categories you’ve selected.

Connections with your Facebook company page

Connections with your apps

Connections with your events

You can also exclude those criteria and combine several at the same time.

As we select and fix the criteria for our audience we can see in the right column the real-time Facebook Ads estimate of the potential reach of our defined audience.

Recommendation: Do not try to reach everyone, because in the end it will be to broad and will actually hurt your reach and conversions.
If you do not have a good budget for your campaign, your best bet would be to try to maintain a maximum potential reach of about 200 thousand people. Of course this always depends on the campaign and the investment.

In short, if we try to reach a large number of people, sacrificing part of the target audience (because we do not have an large budget), we could lose effectiveness in our campaign and as we said before, end up showing that ad to people who may not be interested in it.

Location of ads on Facebook

Your ads will show up in different places. but you have the option to choose exactly where you want to display your ads.

There are two ways to select ad placements.

1 – Automatic placements

With this option we leave it in the hands of Facebook to choose the best locations for your ads to be displayed at.

Your ads will be displayed in:

News section (mobile devices and computer)

Facebook’s right column

Instagram

Audience Network

Instant articles

2 – Edit locations

Selecting this option will give you total control over the locations where your ads will be displayed.

You can choose the locations of where your ads will appear according to the following criteria:

Device types: all, mobile only and computer only.

Platform types: in Facebook Timeline, Instant Articles and the Right Column, Instagram and Audience Network sections.

Advanced options: it is possible to target mobile devices or Wi-Fi connections.

How does Facebook calculate the price of your ad?

The price calculation of each of your ads will depend on the options you pick. I will discuss those options below:

1. Specify the campaign budget

Budgets can be set for a period of time (campaign) or for an average daily spend.Keep in mind that the budget is set for an entire set of ads, not per ad-set.

2. Defines a time period

You can decide if you want it to have a fixed duration (day and time of start and end) or uninterrupted.

3. Optimize for ad delivery

Facebook now offers us three main types or structures of optimization, regarding the calculation of the price of our ads.

Interaction with a post: Will show your ad to the people most likely to interact with that post.

Impressions: will show the ad to the target you choose as many times as possible.

Unique daily reach: Will show your ad up to one or xxx times per day.

4 . Price (choose your bid)

There are two clear options, in the first (Automatic) your bid will be automatically optimized for more interaction or impressions.
In the second (Manual) we will set the maximum price that we are willing to pay for a conversions.

Important: Depending on the delivery option chosen, the price will be set at cost per impressions or per click.

CPM or PPM: cost per thousand impressions (CPM) or pay per thousand impressions (PPM). An impression is the same as a view. With CPM you will pay for every 1,000 times that someone sees that ad, in the different places that Facebook has available for it (computer / computer news section – cell / mobile news section or right column), even if you get no engagement or conversions.

CPC or PPC: cost per Click (CPC) or pay per Click (PPC). In this option we will pay for each click that is made on our ad

How does the bid on Facebook Ads work?

Each one of your ads competes to be shown to the audience that you have chosen through your segmentation in a virtual auction against other ads that also have criteria more or less similar to yours.

The ad that wins an auction and gets shown is the one with the highest total value. Total value isn’t how much an advertiser is willing to pay to show their ad. It’s combination of 3 major factors:

Advertiser bid

Estimated action rates

Ad quality and relevance

Advertiser bid

You represent how much you value the result your ad set is optimized for with your bid (or you let Facebook do it for you with automatic bidding). I recommend bidding your true value or higher for best results.

Estimated action rates

Each ad set is optimized for an action. Estimated action rates represent how likely Facebook thinks a given person is to take that action. This helps differentiate between an ad being generally relevant to someone’s interests and it being likely to cause them to take the action you’re optimizing for.

Facebook base their estimates on the previous actions of the person you’re trying to reach and your ad’s historical performance data. I recommend optimizing for an action that happens at least 15-25 times per week (though more than that is better) for best results.

Ad quality and relevance

Facebook represent how interested they think a person will be in seeing your ad with measures of its overall quality and specific relevance. For example, if your ad has gotten lots of negative feedback, that can decrease its total value. Or, if the person has a history of being interested in what you’re advertising, that can increase its total value.

To get an idea of how users are reacting to your ad, check its relevance score.

Analyze and control the performance of your ads

Analytics is very important in advertising. Therefore, before we start spending money we have to be very clear about our objectives and the Key Performance Indicator ( KPI ) that we will use.The same way if we were increasing the budget, we would evaluate that ad to see the results it is bringing in.

It is in the Ad Manager where you manage and control Ads campaigns, through the statistics and graphics provided by Facebook, we can also edit and correct anything that deals with the ad.

From Ad Manager you can also pause, end, delete, or edit the duration of the ad ( from the same page you can also go to the statistics tab and see the numbers of ads you have).

Step-by-step Tutorial – Create a Facebook Ads Campaign

The following steps are useful for almost any campaign objective or type of advertisement.

If we wanted to get more traffic for a blog post, boost sales or collect emails we would choose the “Traffic” or “Conversion” option. If we wanted to to get more downloads for our apps we would choose “App Install”

The most commonly used option is the “Brand Awareness” Option this is due to the changes in the Facebook business page algorithm. This is the example I will be using below.

Now, let’s create our first Facebook Ads campaign.

1 – Designing your campaign

Go to your Facebook profile or company page and in the drop-down menu at the top right, choose the “create ads” option.

2 – Campaign target

Once inside the Facebook Ads ads page, we now select the first option (or type of advertisement): “Brand Awareness”.

3 – Campaign name

After picking Brand Awareness and before clicking continue, you will have to enter a Campaign Name for the campaign we are starting. After you select name click continue.

4 – Who do you want your Facebook ads to reach?

Target Audience: this is the most important part of the whole tutorial and one of the stages that will determine the success or failure of any Facebook Ads campaign (that is why it is one of my favorite parts).
Here we select and define as much as possible about target audience.

As we have seen previously in this post, we will proceed to define the different options we want to target in search of that ideal audience.

5- Choose where you want your ads to appear

Ad Placement: Select the most appropriate placements for your campaign

6- How much do you want to spend on Facebook advertising?

Budget: we can define the total or daily budget and the period of time we want to run ad for.

Optimization for Ad Delivery: Select if you want your ad to run all the time or on certain parts of the day

7 – Name your ad set

Choose a name for your ad set that is clear and will be easy to identify among your other ads
If we use an existing ad set, we could keep the same name you already have.

8 – Advertising and Preview

Now we must select what ad to show.
We have two options, create a new ad, or use an existing post from your business page.

Create new ad

We can make a new ad for our campaign by selecting “Create new ad” at the top.
Next we must choose what type of format we want to use for our ad:

Caraousel

Single image

Single video

Slideshow

Depending on the format you have chosen, you must then choose what content to include.

In the section called “Page and Post” you can select the facebook page connected to your ads, as well as add another one by clicking (+), and you can also connect your Instagram account.

You can also modify and customize the text that is displayed as a description.
Finally, to the right you have a preview with the 5 formats in which your ad will be presented according to the placements we have chosen previously.

Use existing publication

If you use an existing post you will be asked to choose one of your business pages that you want to associate with this campaign, you can also connect your Instagram account.

If you access the advanced options you will have the possibility to select the option to follow up with a pixel.

Finally in this section we can also preview our ad in the five formats that will be presented by Facebook to the locations we have previously chosen.

9 Place your ad

Once all this process is completed, you can preview the general options in “Review Order” or end by clicking on the green button called “Checkout”. This will send your ad to review. Once your ad is approved it will start showing up in news feeds or the locations you chose.

Conclusions

Thank you so much for reading this guide. As you can see setting up a Facebook ad is not rocket science. Hopefully I have encouraged you to take the leap and super charge your business .

The golden age of social media is in full swing, and Facebook is undoubtedly one of the biggest players in the online marketing game. The famous website can boast around 2 billion active users, who dedicate several minutes or even hours of their day to this website. Doubtless, part of its success can be attributed to its multi-functionality. Facebook is a platform for connecting people, yet it also entertains and informs its users. The entertainment and information aspects, if approached from the right angle, can be real advertising gold mines.

Considering, how much time and attention people devote on a daily basis to Facebook, one can easily discover great opportunities allowing them to effectively promote their products or services on this website. Nevertheless, before jumping right in, one has to get to know the platform from A to Z. The advertiser should analyze all the pros and cons that would come with a social media marketing campaign, and in this endeavor a pay per click marketing firm can be of immense assistance. After all, the optimized ads on Facebook are based on the PPC model, and since the advertiser will be paying for each click, they should work hard to maximize the efficiency and profitability of their ad campaign.

First of all – delve into the statistics

The great thing about Facebook is its constant focus on metrics and data analysis. Before creating an ad, one should learn about their target audience; conveniently, Facebook offers its advertisers to explore this aspect by using the ‘audience insights’ feature. Essentially, the tool enables you to mine data about who your audience is, wherefore it is possible for you to proceed with tailoring unique ads for specific consumer groups.

Overall, there are two sources from which the user data is gathered. First, there is the self-reported data, which is comprised of everything people have shared on their profiles – their age, gender, education, page likes and more. Second, the advertiser can also access off-Facebook data, which reveals such details as purchasing behaviors and average household income, to name a few. Therefore, by reviewing this information, your business can choose which audience type to target. It could be everyone on Facebook, maybe every user who has liked your page, or, perhaps, it might just be better to designate a custom audience (based on, for example, their occupation, gender, or interests).

Some other statistics worth exploring can be the largest age demographic, geographical locations, and languages popular among the users. Also, when it comes to bidding on ad space, it can be valuable to note the hours and days of the week with the highest traffic on Facebook. Success hides in knowing and understanding the numbers, and planning the ad campaign in accordance with the available data.

Standing out in the cluttered timelines

Facebook is versatile and brimming with content, so it can be quite the challenge to catch someone’s eye among all the wall-posts and other ads. However, it is not impossible, and many advertising campaigns have succeeded especially thanks to their ingeniously creative ad designs, which have been adapted to the features provided by the platform.

As stated above, one good approach is creating different ads aimed towards different types of established audiences. Additionally, the sort of ad chosen can depend on other goals you have set for your advertising campaign. Each detail has to be taken into consideration when focusing on the location and format of the ad. For example, the advertiser might want to display the ad on the desktop news feed, if they wish to generate high engagement and attract new customers; meanwhile, the ads appearing on the right column of the page are better suited for users who are already brand-aware and might be interested in new products or services.

Another integral aspect is the presentation of the ad. On Facebook, the primary target should be to grab attention, and the message of the ad goes to the secondary position. Thus, the image is quite important, and what is more, it doesn’t even have to be an image – you may opt for a short video, or the so called carousel format ad, which allows to showcase multiple products in a single ad unit (perfect for marketing clothing and other similar items belonging to a product line). Choose the type that is right for your brand, and when in doubt – first test it out.

Pulling in the audience

The visuals having been decided upon, one can turn to the message. In Facebook ads, it is advised to include the call to action in the very body of the ad – it must be enticing, prompting the user to click it and seek out more information about your product. Another tip that can strengthen the appeal of one’s message is that they should try to present great offers and attractive deals. This manner of addressing potential customers works perfectly together with bright and relevant imagery. And of course, do not forget about providing informative and neat landing pages for your ads, paying special attention to their appearance and compatibility with other devices on which people might be browsing Facebook.

Stay on the track that leads towards your goals

This is quite a universal advice in all fields of marketing – have pre-established goals and aim for reaching them. Yet, just as on other platforms, on Facebook this involves not only setting up an ad campaign, but also constantly testing out new ideas and optimizing the old projects.

Facebook has developed many advertiser-friendly tools and features that allow businesses to work out the best bidding strategies for their needs, in accordance with their aims and constraints. Nevertheless, it is also essential to constantly track your sales, concentrating mainly on profit generated, not on the popularity of the ad. A lot of clicks does not always mean high performance. Especially if the ad is highly entertaining, people might be sharing and engaging in it without following the call to action. On the other hand, there can be cases in which immediate success from quick sales is not apparent, yet the brand has gained a loyal customer. That is known as the ‘customer lifetime value’ and Facebook can be a great source for gaining brand loyalty, as a positive result of regularly creating new and engaging ad campaigns.

Fundamentally, Facebook is a social network that is constantly changing and developing. So, the best advice is to do the same with your ad campaign – keep building it up and optimizing your ads for the optimal results.

Getting Started With Facebook Ads

Facebook is not a one size fits all type of marketing. They give so many options on various items that it tends to confuse a lot of people especially those who may not be quite as technical as others.

Before we get into how to create an ad let’s just remember some basic marketing principles. These principles apply no matter what platform you are using. Facebook is really no different than direct mail or billboards or T.V. You have to address the same issues and use the same psychology.

4 Universal Marketing Principles

Problem – Agitate – Solve; Regardless of what you are selling or promoting this is arguably the best marketing advice ever. Identify your markets problem, give them something to think about as to why it’s an ongoing problem and then provide the solution.

Validate your idea – You can have an awesome idea but if no one is willing to buy from you, it does not matter how wonderful your whizbang gadget or coaching program is.

Your Message has to match your Market. You not only must have a great product or service but you have to be able to identify the ideal market and be able to reach them. The good news is Facebook can reach most markets but the bad news is you are interrupting their ‘escape from reality’ time so you need a very powerful message.

You must have a unique selling proposition which can be summed up in one or two sentences. This is what differentiates you from competitors and gives the potential customer a reason to buy from you instead of them.

Start With The End In Mind

Let’s get down to the ad itself and how to get going with Facebook. Like all other marketing you want to begin with the end in mind. What exactly do you want your potential customer to do?

Buy a product

Sign up for your newsletter

Download a free report

Complete a survey

Etc…

Once you know this you can create a Facebook ad customized for this objective.

For Your First Ad Use The Facebook Ads Manager

Now essentially there are two ways to start a Facebook Ad. One is through the simpler Facebook Ads Manager and the second is through Power Editor. The Power Editor provides more options and allows bulk editing.

Since we are trying to get your ad up and going quickly we will focus on the Ads Manager. If you want additional information on the Power Editor I’ll be glad to notify you when my updated complete guide to using the Power Editor is ready by going here.

Here are the steps with screenshots to creating your ad –

Step 1 – Go to Facebook Ads Manager and choose your objective.

Facebook does provide 10 objective options. When you select one, this will let Facebook know which Ad Options to give you later on.

Hint: By far most of the time selecting Send People To Your Website is going to be used the majority of the time. It is sort of a ‘catch-all’ selection and gives you the ability to get the potential customer out of Facebook and into your world.

For our purposes here we will use the Send People To Your Website option.

This will now open up an area to enter the URL of the website you are promoting. When you enter the URL you will have a chance to name the campaign and add your tracking ‘pixel’. If you don’t know what a pixel is or don’t have one setup it is not necessary.

Pixels are advanced techniques and very helpful in reporting as well as retargeting potential customers. You definitely want to use those later on but as Mr. Miyagi once said “First learn stand. Then learn fly.”

Step 2 – Setup your audience and your budget.

Remember when we talked about message to market matching. Here is your chance to define your target audience.

For now you will ignore the option at the top ‘Custom Audiences’. This is an advanced technique but another one you will want to learn at a later date.

Key Terms

Demographic – Where they are, age, gender, married, work, financial, etc…

Interests – What pages they have liked, what their activities and interests are.

Behaviors – Purchase behavior and intents.

Select your location, age, gender and there are a ton of other demographic options should you need them. Also, from here you can input interests and behaviors by just free from typing or there will a menu selection to narrow your audience.

You should note that even though there are a lot of options not all options are available for all countries. When you start the selection process if you change the country this may restrict or eliminate the use of certain behaviors or demographics.

Once you have defined your audience there is a check box so you can save it for future use. It’s always good to save it for easy reference and implementation of your next ad for this group.

Next is your budget which can be either daily or lifetime. Typically daily will be better initially and then you can select your schedule so you can run it for a few days and evaluate your results.

Optimization will be defaulted to Link Clicks to Your Website which is fine. Then you have a choice on Bid Amount; either Automatic or Manual.

Automatic lets Facebook set the bid.

Manual allows you to place a bid based on what they are worth to you.

Ad scheduling can only be done if you have selected a lifetime budget. This can be useful if you are say targeting to people who work 9-5 and they won’t be able to see your ads until after 5pm. For your initial ads you can just leave it set to ‘Run Ads All The Time’.

Delivery type can only be changed from standard if you are using a manual bid. Standard allows Facebook to space the ads throughout the day. Accelerated shows the ads as quick as possible. This is important if you have something time sensitive and want to get the ads out as quick as possible. This will also use up your daily budget quicker.

Now you are ready to name your ad set and click the ‘Choose Ad Creative’ button at the bottom.

After All That You Are Finally Ready To Create The Actual Ad

Step 3 –

From here you are selecting whether or not you want a single image or a video or if you would like to input multiple images.

Images Hint: The maximum amount of text you can have in a given image is 20% – If you use more than this your ad may not get approved. You can check your image by going to Facebooks grid tool: https://www.facebook.com/ads/tools/text_overlay

Most of the time a single great image will do just fine. A good rule of thumb is if the people you are marketing to have little or no idea who you are, you can leave a picture of yourself out and opt instead for something more indicative of what you are promoting. Even if you are a coach or consultant this holds true.

Once you have selected an image you can scroll down and will then input a few things which I want to go over in some detail.

Connecting your Instagram account – This is a relatively new feature and for your first ad I would leave it out. Marketing to people on Instagram does not have enough data to know if it will be effective as a general tool. Save your money for now and use it just toward Facebook.

Remove Instagram as a placement as show in the image above and also remove on the bottom right along with the Audience Network.

You can keep the Desktop Right Column but often it does not yield nearly as good of results as the News Feed.

Time to Write a Compelling Headline and Some Great Copy

Step 4 – Next up is your Headline – It must be compelling. Do not put a lame headline with some vague generalization. Be specific and be bold. Asking a question is good.

Example: “Would You Like To Know How To Overcome Your Fear of Flying Forever in Only 3 Minutes?”

Now input the Text of the ad. You can be kind of wordy here. Using bullet points or a numbered list outlining the benefits to your customer is where you should focus. You don’t want to talk about how awesome your product or service is. Only state the benefit to the customer.

Selecting a Call to Action Button: You can expand this and get several options. Pick the one that applies to you but if you are unsure, choosing ‘Learn More’ is a good all-purpose button.

Once you have completed this you can choose some advanced options which will allow you to put a little more text into your ad and a couple of other things. However, you can really skip that for now and just hit ‘Place Order’.

Guess what? You’re done creating your first Facebook Ad.

But you’re not done with a key component –

Step 5 –

You do need to check on your ad to make sure it got approved. Facebook will send you an email to whatever email address they have and let you know. Typically these are approved or disapproved within a few minutes to a few hours but sometimes can take longer.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see a response instantaneously.

Never-the-less once it is approved and running you are all set from a creation standpoint.

You don’t want to forget the crucial part of following up by checking on how your ad is doing. There are a lot of numbers out there- metrics as the fancy corporate types call them but most do not really mean much for most.

Here Are The Most Important Numbers When Getting Started

Reach – The number of people who ‘see’ your ad

CTR (Click Through Rate) – The number of people who actually clicked on your ad.

Conversion Rate – The percentage of people who see the ad to those who clicked.

Hint: You also want to know how many people clicked on your ad versus how many signed up for your product or service. You can then determine your return on investment and also you will now have a ‘control’ to measure other ads or landing pages against.

Keep On Learning

Don’t forget to learn some of the advanced techniques I mentioned and improve your skills by practice inputting more ads.

Also, it would really benefit you to learn some basic copywriting skills and how to write a compelling headline.

There are some great resources out there and tons of great information. Some of it does not work as well as others so before I actually use information someone is giving I ask about their success. Specifics!

Let me know if this worked for you and if you got hung up. If you want me to actually review the ad and give you some feedback I’ll be glad to do so for the first 50 people who send an email to facebookad@onefocusmarketing.com

Just contact me before you do the ad so I can get some basic knowledge of your market and product or service.
