2014 goals
Every year I like to set different goals for all my websites. I currently have 14 niche websites and I’m working on building 2 more for the first half of 2014. I’m a huge believer in accountability, this is the reason I decided to make one of my goals a challenge and share it on this site.
The $100k Challenge
The site I will be using for this challenge is cyber-week.com. This site is a coupon and deals blog that has been live since June of 2013. Since the site went live in June it has made $8k with the majority of that money coming from Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
You will be able to keep tabs on my progress though my detailed monthly income reports. These reports will show how much traffic the site has received as well as where the traffic came from. I will also give a breakdown of the sources of my income.
During the course of the month I will be writing on the different strategies I use to drive traffic to the site and any changes or upgrades I have made. My plan is to tweak or possibly change the design in order to make it more search engine and user friendly. I will do my best to report as much information to you as possible.

A personal challenge can be fun and exciting. Can you share the progress on your 14 other niches?
My sites are all in different niches From celebrity gossip sites to recipe sites. They are pretty well established sites and make anywhere from $500 to a few thousand a month.
I know how to rank in Google and i know how to do keyword research. What i have trouble with is monetizing the websites. Also do you prefer micro niche sites over authority sites or the other way around?
My personal preference is niche sites but Im working on a post for this site on how to build a authority (big-Brand) site. What type of site are you having problems monetizing?
My Micro Niche Sites i have problems with, but i think that’s just because i have to make a ton of those before i see any decent income. I mean it would be easier to make one big Authority site and rank that but i have no idea how the structure should be of an Authority Site. Like Main page => 5 Category’s and then sub category’s i have no idea. Also i am planning to open a E-commerce store for something i am passionate about, how would i rank that store high for certain Keywords? For example, the website is about “Dashcams” How could i SEO the pages? There would be literally no text on the page. Maybe you have ran an e-commerce store before and could share some tips?
In order for you to make any money you will need some sort of traffic. Have you tried signing up and posting in forum related to your niche? Contribute to the forum and if anyone has any problems within your niche help them solve it. You can write a article on your blog on how to solve the specific problem and them point whoever has that issue to your article.
I will be doing doing a tutorial on how to build a authority site soon.
For you eCommerce site you can do reviews and also try to get links from autority sites or you can buy links from private link networks but you need to be careful where and who you buy from. This will help with the search ranking.
I’m making good $ now, but as you know having all eggs in one basket is not good. I’m literally praying that Facebook does not change their way on how advertising works. I have no problems getting medium to even hard keywords on top of Google (I have a strong blog network +/- 50 sites All high DA/PA). I want to start a business and brand myself. What would you do if you had 40k to invest in a project?
Sorry for the late response been sick with the flu. If I had to invest $40k I would do adwords campaigns start with $1k then once you find a good one scale it up.
